Waffle Iron

During a breakfast at home with his wife in 1970, Bill Bowerman was famously inspired to use a waffle iron to mold running shoe soles.

Two years later, the shoes were used in the US track and field trials.

Creative processes are famous for not telling us when ideas may show up.

But curiosity gives us traction to revel in the moment, at a walking pace.

Arriving at “a-ha” is not a race.

We should rather look wide-eyed around the room than stare at the finish line.
